If you have an active child, or a kinestic learner, you will
need to use games for much of your teaching. Here is a list of sites with
games, advice from Moms about games that have worked for them, and other
information about games for kids. Please remember, they don't have to be
in front of a book in order to learn. Games are a great way to have fun,
take a break when they get resistant, and to continue their education all at the
same time.
Angelfire has a great site for games, this would be considered a directory
it has so many on there.
If your kids are into
Puzzles, this site has
a great builder, free online or you can purchase the cd for your computer.
Ever heard of
File Folder Games? Great site with various games on it. These
are great for trips.
Here is a great site for younger kids,
lots of crafts to keep those hands busy.
If you get a box of card stock at Sam's or Office Depot, here
are great printable card
games.
And of course, printable and/or hand art
board games
you can make.
Then there is
HomeWorkOpoly.
More of a challenge to make, but looks like lots of fun.
Hamster Tic
Tac Toe for the younger ones.
Here is another directory, that is it has more
links of activities and games for your kids.
