After talking with several parents at the State Convention, I
realized that there is something special going on with this last generation of
children. They are ready to learn at an earlier age. They are asking
their parents for more reading, more writing, more learning. Talking with
the parents, I found this was true for boys and girls.
Now, I will continue to advise parents go to at their child's
pace, knowing that there will be plateaus when they tire of *schooling*.
The most important thing is to not quelsh the love of learning in any child, not
to destroy that wonderful imagination that God gave each of His children.
When they are intested in something, go for it. If there is an event in
your community for young ones, feel free to take the kids even if they have not
finished their seatwork. For the younger child, experiences are learning,
and help them with assimiliating information learned from reading. Well,
enough from me, here are the resources:

Crayola has a site for
kids and for educators. Great things to print.
The US Post office
has a great site with stamps from every state as you travel across the map.
IF you want just the stamps to color, right click and pick View Image, you will
get another window with just that picture which you can then print and color.
