WHAT'S NEW

(Bookmark this page to learn about updates on the site)

  1. My apologies to everyone who has used this site.  I have repented (changed my ways).  As I'm going through updating the links on this site, I'm having a hard problem finding all those wonderful geocities, etc. sites that were made by loving homeschool moms who were just excited to share their lesson plans on the internet.  Instead I'm finding sites that link to other sites, sites have have turned to membership subscriptions for lesson plans, and homeschool sites that are more about ads than content.  So I've made a decision to try to link to actual free lesson plans instead of these sites of sites.  It wastes your time ( unless you are researching to build your own lesson plan) and does not deliver quality which is what this site is all about, quality information for Texas Home Educators.

  2. Well, We hope you like the new format, the updated calendar and support group pages, and the updated lesson plans.  We work hard to make this the best homeschool site out there.  If it's a blessing to you, please feel free to let your friends know about it.

  3. Well, we have been busy this year. Can't believe it's almost over. We have started a new radio show for homeschoolers. Great guest are lined up. If you have questions for guests or just about homeschooling, then please tune in on Thursdays at 2PM Central. This really is a time for a cup of tea (hot or cold) and a break from the kids to get refreshed and be blessed.

  4. Getting ready for the new year, we've brought out a few things that have been hidden treasures on this site. We now have Holiday Lesson Plans on the index. We'd also like to point out our Crafts page under Elementary Lesson Plans, including Recipes for Play dough and various craft *recipes*, and our always saves the day Travel Games.

We also have some great activities under Nature Studies, which is under Elementary Lesson Plans. If you are following a Charlotte Mason format, you will enjoy this page.

Texas History is also under Elementary Lesson Plans, with great original resources and fun things to do in Texas.

We brought the Reference Desk up to the Index, but the Museums and Libraries are still under High School Lesson Plans. This is a great page if you ever want to do a virtual tour of the great libraries of the world. Also, with links to the many libraries, you can find a book anywhere and then have your local library reserve it for you.

We moved Unit Studies to the Elementary Page, along with the Arts and Music page

We've added a Pre-K page after meeting all the great parents at the State Convention
